Sierra · full day
Coffee estates
You climb to 1,300 meters: cool air, coffee groves and a cup on the estate. This is the sierra of the bays, not another beach.
- Duration
- Full day
- Altitude
- ≈ 1,300 m asl
- Where
- Pluma Hidalgo, Sierra Sur
- Focus
- Harvest, process, tasting
Pluma is known for high-altitude coffee. On the estate you see the crop, the mill and the cup; sometimes you can take beans straight from the producer.
The town still keeps the San Miguel fiesta in September, mole and tlayuda. The tour we run is estate and landscape; tubing or rappelling are asked separately. Bring a sleeve: it cools up there.
